Joe Biden has been accused of frequently lying about the circumstances of his son Beau’s death, using it to garner sympathy and attention.
Beau, a former attorney general of Delaware and an Army officer, died of brain cancer at 46, years after his military service.
Biden’s false claims about his son’s death have drawn criticism, especially in instances where he used it to console grieving military families.
Of course Biden called one of the three families who lost their child in the Iran-backed drone attack annnnd he made it all about Beau, claiming he's been in their exact same position.

“Shawn, I wish I didn’t have to make this call. I know there’s nothing anybody can say or do to ease the pain. I’ve been there,” Biden said on the phone call.
“My son spent a year in Iraq; that’s how I lost him.”
Despite repeated backlash, Biden continues to perpetuate this falsehood, causing distress to those affected by actual military losses.
