The Satanic Temple’s minister stated they would be happy to engage children if the bill passes, despite pushback.
Satanic Temple minister Mortimer Adramelech, said, “But if the bill does pass, I’m excited for the opportunities it presents for the Satanic Temple to provide support services and programs to school children in our state.”
“Iowa has several ordained ministers of Satan and we would be happy to engage children,” he continued.
The Temple’s advocacy of abortion rituals has drawn attention, with its practices and tenets raising questions about its interest in engaging children in schools.
The organization’s beliefs and tenets emphasize autonomy and relative truths, with a focus on individual interpretation.
The Satanic Temple’s fifth tenet is, “beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world.”
“One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs,” continues the doctrine.
