Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential hopeful, mentioned that members of Trump’s team had contacted him about potentially joining the campaign as Trump’s running mate, but he asserted that he is not interested in the position.

Kennedy, who left the Democratic Party’s primary to run as an independent candidate, emphasized that he would not take the job of running on a Republican ticket with Trump.

While Kennedy claimed that people from Trump’s team had reached out to him, a senior campaign adviser for Trump denied these claims, labeling them as “100% FAKE NEWS.”

“I would not take that job,” Kennedy said.

“I’m flattered that President Trump would offer it to me, but it’s not something I’m interested in.”

“People from the team have reached out to me,” he said.

Despite attracting attention and some support, Kennedy is not expected to garner significant backing in the November elections, but there are concerns among some Democrats that he might affect Biden’s chances.

“This is 100% FAKE NEWS — NO ONE from the Trump Campaign ever approached RFK jr (or ever will) — one of the most LIBERAL and radical environmentalists in the country,” Trump senior campaign adviser Chris LaCivita wrote.
