Gisele Fetterman addressed speculation about her marriage and social media absence, clarifying that she left due to boredom.
Her husband, Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman, has made comments on border security and Israel that some on the left have found disrespectful to his wife, who entered the U.S. illegally.
“I posted several months ago that [I] would be talking a break from social media,” she wrote. “I was bored with it… [I] am a Pisces … it wasn’t adding anything to my life .. but leaving social media is somehow more exhausting than having it?!”

“You guys really are terrible, respectfully,” she later said.
“I hope Democrats can understand that it isn’t xenophobic to be concerned about the border,” John said.
“Until somebody can say there’s an explanation on what we can do when 270,000 people are being encountered on the border, not including the ones, of course, that we don’t know about,” he said.

“To put that in reference, that is essentially the size of Pittsburgh, the second-largest city in Pennsylvania,” he added.
Fetterman has also been a vocal supporter of Israel, leading to potential tension in their relationship.
“The United States has a moral obligation to be in lockstep with our ally as they confront this threat,” he stated. “I also fully support Israel neutralizing the terrorists responsible for this barbarism.”
