Tesla is recalling 2.2 million vehicles in the US due to warning lights with a smaller font size, which can make critical safety information difficult to read.
The recall covers various Tesla EV models, and the company has started releasing a free over-the-air software update to fix the issue.
This is not the first recall for Tesla, as the company has faced safety issues with its Autopilot feature and door unlocking during a crash.
“Warning lights with a smaller font size can make critical safety information on the instrument panel difficult to read, increasing the risk of a crash,” the NHTSA stated.
Tesla has also recalled 1.62 million electric vehicles exported to China over similar safety concerns, which were resolved with remote software updates.
