The House impeachment inquiry will depose James Biden, President Joe Biden’s brother, on February 21.

James and Hunter Biden were business partners with CEFC China Energy Co., an organization closely aligned with the Chinese Communist Party.

The committee discovered suspicious financial activity involving the Biden family, including a $3 million wire transfer from CEFC.

Joe Biden personally accepted a suspicious personal check from James.

The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed James Biden’s companies due to concerns about the legitimacy of their services.

James’s lawyer has stated that there is nothing wrong with the transactions and that James has never involved his brother in his business dealings.

“There is nothing more to those transactions, and there is nothing wrong with them,” James’s attorney Paul Fishman said. “And Jim Biden has never involved his brother in his business dealings.”
