Hunter Biden’s recent court filing in his gun case has drawn attention for its unusual defense strategy.
In the filing, Hunter’s lawyers argue that he was “selectively charged” for political reasons, and they compare his situation to various historical and mythological examples, including citing the burden of his parentage.
This comes after prosecutors found cocaine residue on Hunter’s gun pouch in 2018, complicating his legal defense against three gun charges.
“In his bizarre filing comparing himself to famous dead children in history, Hunter refers to Hector, the son of the King of Troy as ‘murdered’ by Odysseus,” law professor Jonathan Turley wrote on X.
“It was actually Achilles and it was a fair fight. Will the National Hellenic Society move to strike?”
The filing has sparked controversy and attention due to its unconventional arguments and comparisons.
