Country music star Reba McEntire is set to headline a new sitcom on NBC, reuniting with former “Reba” showrunner Kevin Abbott.
The untitled series will focus on a music legend who inherits her father’s restaurant and discovers she has a half-sister and a new business partner.
The show marks NBC’s first pilot order for the 2024 season and comes after last year’s writers’ and actors’ strikes.

“We talked about that a lot,” McEntire said in 2023. “I don’t think that’s ever going to come to fruition, but maybe one of these days.”
Additionally, McEntire is scheduled to perform “The Star Spangled Banner” at the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII Pregame Lineup in Las Vegas, as announced by NFL and Roc Nation.
