Country star Darius Rucker was arrested in Tennessee for a minor drug offense, including possession of a controlled substance and a vehicle registration violation.

Rucker’s attorney, Mark Puryear, said, “Darius Rucker is fully cooperating with authorities related to misdemeanor charges.”

Despite his recent achievements like receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and releasing a new album dedicated to his late mother, Rucker expressed a sense of ongoing ambition in his career.

He also shared insights into his family life, including his children’s interest in music and his amicable relationship with his ex-wife amid their separation.

Rucker previously said, “I think the thing that keeps me working so hard is I always feel like I haven’t done enough.”

“They truly don’t give a s— what I do for a living. I’m nothing special. I’m their dad,” revealed Rucker.

“They love my music, and they think it’s cool, but they’ll still be at a show, and I’ll walk out of the back of my bus, and they’ll go, ‘Dad, are you going to wear that?’ They love letting me know that I’m a dork, and I love them for it,” he explained.
