The remains of three U.S. soldiers killed in an Iranian-made drone attack in Jordan will be received at Dover Air Force Base, with President Joe Biden and the first lady in attendance.
This marks the second “dignified transfer” Biden has attended as president. The soldiers, from the Army Reserve, were killed in the attack, and over 40 others were injured.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Air Force General Charles Q. Brown will also be present.

The Bidens will meet with the families of the fallen soldiers before the transfer.
Biden offered his condolences to the families in a phone call.
He allegedly said, “I know there is nothing anybody can say or do to ease the pain, I’ve been there.”
The solemn reception will involve a team of soldiers carrying the caskets from the plane to mortuary vans, with the families and presidential entourage present.
