Eric Schwerin, an associate of President Joe Biden, claimed to have worked for free, providing professional services such as bookkeeping and tax preparation.
He also admitted to being appointed to a board during the Obama-Biden administration and denied having visibility on foreign payments to the Bidens.
House investigators sought information about Schwerin’s role in the Biden family’s foreign business dealings and Joe Biden’s knowledge of them.

Documents revealed Schwerin’s direct contact with White House employees regarding Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, and his numerous visits to the White House during Joe Biden’s vice presidency.
Hunter Biden’s texts also indicated a distrust of Schwerin’s involvement in the family’s affairs.
