Nikki Haley accused Donald Trump of planting a heckler in the audience during a speech in South Carolina.
She dismissed the disruption, claiming it was a tactic used by Trump to win.
Haley criticized Trump’s chaos and expressed concerns about the country’s future under his leadership.
“Vote Donald Trump,” the heckler said.
“Y’all don’t let it bother you, that’s what Trump does, he does disruption. That’s the only way he thinks he can win is by planting people like this. I think we’re getting under his skin. Just saying, I don’t know,” Haley said.
“Chaos follows (him). We can’t be a country in disarray in a world on fire and go in for four more years of chaos, we will not survive it,” she said.
She had previously mocked Trump and expressed her belief that he would become increasingly “unhinged” during the Republican presidential nomination.
“Donald Trump got out there and just threw a temper tantrum. I know that’s what he does when he’s insecure and when he’s threatened. And he should feel threatened, without a doubt.”
Despite trailing in polls, she emphasized that winning her home state might not be essential for her campaign’s continuation.
