Despite Canada’s stringent gun controls, a 28-year-old attacker managed to carry out a firearm and Molotov cocktail attack at Edmonton’s City Hall.
The incident occurred despite the country’s bans on assault-style firearms and ammunition magazine restrictions, as well as the requirement for extensive background checks, waiting periods, and licensing for firearm ownership.
The attack raises questions about the effectiveness of Canada’s gun control measures in preventing such violent incidents.
