MSNBC’s Ayman Mohyeldin criticized Republican officials for not accepting a Supreme Court ruling and defying it, particularly Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
“The so-called party of law and order appears to no longer recognize the legitimacy of the U.S. Supreme Court,” Mohyeldin said.
Multiple GOP governors have supported Abbott and some are sending National Guard troops to Texas, with Mohyeldin accusing them of provoking a confrontation with federal agents.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt even suggested ignoring the Supreme Court and speculated about a potential civil war.
Texas state Sen. Roland Gutierrez dismissed the GOP’s actions as a “theatrical show” and called for President Biden to federalize the National Guard in response.
"We absolutely do need to federalize the National Guard so we can move these jokers…that don't know anything about immigration policy, and let the National Guard safeguard [migrants] and process them."
