Nikki Haley, a Republican presidential candidate, commented on the recent $83.3 million defamation case verdict against Donald Trump, emphasizing the need to focus on critical issues such as border security and inflation rather than legal battles.
“We’re not talking about fixing the border. We’re not talking about tackling inflation,” Haley said.
The case involves E. Jean Carroll’s accusation of sexual assault against Trump in the 1990s.
Despite setbacks, Haley remains committed to her pursuit of the GOP nomination, with the upcoming South Carolina primary on Feb. 24 setting the stage for a face-off between Haley and Trump, who is currently polling ahead in the state.
