Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Kevin Morris, threatened legal action against Jonathan Turley for criticizing alleged Biden family corruption.
The New York Post’s “Laptop from Hell” report led to a House impeachment inquiry into the Bidens, revealing financial ties between the family and foreign business ventures.
Morris was compelled to verify his purchase of Hunter’s stake in a Chinese state-backed investment fund, BHR Partners, and admit to loaning Hunter millions of dollars.
“The effort in such threats is to silence or chill critics in their criticism of a wealthy, powerful public figure like Mr. Morris,” Turley said.
Turley questioned Morris’s intent in acquiring Hunter’s assets and his business relationship with the first family, raising concerns about potential conflicts of interest and ties to a Chinese-linked fund.
