President Joe Biden’s third year in office saw his average job approval rating at 39.8 percent, the lowest for any president since Jimmy Carter.
This puts Biden’s rating below that of former President Donald Trump in his third year.
Carter’s third year included significant challenges, such as the Iran hostage crisis and economic issues.
Biden’s approval ratings have been in the high 30s to low 40s since September 2021, with his struggling economy and border control being major concerns for voters as he looks ahead to the 2024 election.
