Peter Navarro, a Trump White House official, is set to be sentenced for contempt of Congress related to the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Prosecutors are seeking a six-month prison sentence and a $200,000 fine.
Navarro defied a subpoena for documents and a deposition from the House Jan. 6 committee and has vowed to appeal the verdict.
The judge rejected his bid for a new trial, finding that jurors were not improperly influenced by political protesters outside the courthouse.
