Donald Trump attempted to explain a missile defense system with sound effects, promising to build an “iron dome” similar to Israel’s.
He praised the individuals involved and mimicked the system’s action, providing sound effects and gestures at multiple events.
Critics on social media responded with their own commentary.

“They go ‘missile launched!’ and you hear a bell go, I mean I see this, it’s so incredible,” Trump said.
“Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding! They’ve only got 17 seconds to figure this whole thing out, right? Boom, OK. Missile launch, pssshng, poom! It’s the most ― and we don’t have it here!” he recalled.
This is the exact same way my six-year-old grandson would tell a story about missiles. https://t.co/IpaB8UFDHU
