A recent Harvard CAPS-Harris poll revealed that immigration has become a top concern for 35% of respondents, surpassing inflation at 32%.

Notably, inflation was cited as the most personally impactful issue by 38% of respondents.

The political significance of these issues is evident, as they are central to attacks against President Biden, who is currently facing low approval ratings.

Despite a decline in inflation, the GOP continues to emphasize immigration, which has been a consistent point of contention.

The majority of voters believe that conditions at the border are deteriorating, with 64% expressing this view.

The partisan split on this issue is evident, with a significant majority of Republicans and independents advocating for tougher border enforcement.
