Writer E. Jean Carroll testified in her defamation lawsuit against former President Donald Trump, claiming he sexually assaulted her and damaged her reputation.
Carroll testified, “I’m here because Donald Trump assaulted me and when I wrote about it, he said it never happened.”
“He lied and he shattered my reputation” as a writer “and now I’m known as the ‘liar,’ the ‘fraud’ and the ‘whack job,'” she continued.
Trump’s disruptive behavior in court led to warnings from the judge.

“Mr. Trump, I hope I don’t have to consider excluding you from the trial,” said Judge Kaplan.
“I understand you are probably very eager for me to do that,” he continued.
“I would love it,” replied Trump.
“I know you would,” said the judge.
“You just can’t control yourself in this circumstance, apparently,” the judge continued.
“You can’t either,” said Trump.
The trial will determine additional damages, with Carroll seeking $10 million plus punitive damages.
Trump’s lawyer faced criticism for courtroom conduct, with a legal analyst questioning her ability to defend the former president in such a high-stakes trial.
