The first episode of “Saturday Night Live” in 2024 mocked Donald Trump’s legal challenges, with James Austin Johnson portraying Trump and Chloe Fineman playing his lawyer.
The sketch parodied Trump’s response to a gag order imposed on him by a judge and included jabs at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
The portrayal ended with Trump appealing to his older voters to stay alive until November, emphasizing his belief in a divine plan.
“I will not be saying that the judge is an idiot, or where he lives, or what kind of crappy car he drives,” Trump said. “I didn’t know they still made Wagoneers.”
“He went to 99 counties, but b—- couldn’t win one,” Trump said of DeSantis. “Ron DeStupid, Ron DeStupid. It just works. We’re going with Ron DeStupid.”
“Just stay alive until November. Stay alive until November. Just pull that lever and drop dead. Why? Because I am sent by God and God has a plan for me, or whatever,” he said to older voters.
