Sen. Marsha Blackburn is pressing President Joe Biden’s administration to disclose the amount of taxpayer money diverted from veterans to provide healthcare services to recently arrived illegal aliens.

Blackburn’s letter to VA Secretary Denis McDonough seeks details on funding allocation and the impact on veterans’ healthcare.

She highlighted reports of significant taxpayer funds being used for illegal immigrants’ medical expenses while veterans face long waiting times for claims processing.

“How much funding has the VA allocated specifically for the medical care or veterans’ benefits (including claims processing) for illegal immigrants, including but not limited to those in ICE detention facilities or those who were deported?” Blackburn wrote.

Blackburn criticizes the VA for seemingly prioritizing illegal immigrants over veterans and calls for an immediate stop to resource allocation for illegal immigrants’ care and claims.

Additionally, she sought information on specific directives from the Biden administration and the legality of transferring services from veterans to illegal aliens.

Notably, a bill has been introduced to block the VA from using its resources to provide healthcare services to illegal aliens, with several representatives and senators as co-sponsors.
