Nikki Haley is continuing her one-on-one battle with Donald Trump for the Republican nomination, following Ron DeSantis’s exit from the presidential race.

“Can you hear that sound?” asked Haley. “That’s the sound of a two-person race,” she exclaimed.

Haley said, “There’s two people in this race. That’s what we wanted all along.”

The outcome of the New Hampshire primary is crucial for Haley to demonstrate her ability to challenge Trump on a national scale.

Gov. Sununu said, “A little while ago, there were 13 candidates in the race, and now there are only two.”

“They said that couldn’t be done, but then Nikki Haley came along and wiped them all out. For years we have been waiting for something where the Republicans could galvanize together,” he continued.

While she aims to position herself as a viable alternative to Trump, the state’s unpredictable nature and the presence of undeclared voters add an element of uncertainty.

Historically, Trump has benefited from a divided opposition, and the primary’s first-past-the-post rules have worked in his favor.

The race is now seen as a pivotal moment in the battle for the soul of the GOP, with Haley’s success hinging on her performance in New Hampshire and beyond.

Republican pollster Whit Ayers said, “The New Hampshire polling is all over the place – one reason – and that is the proportion of the undeclared voters that can vote in the Republican primary.”

“It is very difficult to anticipate what proportion they will make of the final turnout,” warned the expert.
