Hunter Biden has agreed to appear before two House committees for a deposition on Feb. 28, 2024, after facing potential contempt of Congress.
The committees are conducting interviews with Biden family members and associates, and are working to schedule testimony from more potential witnesses.
“Hunter Biden will appear before our committees for a deposition on February 28, 2024,” the statement read. “His deposition will come after several interviews with Biden family members and associates.

“We look forward to Hunter Biden’s testimony,” the Republicans wrote.
Hunter Biden’s attorney requested a new subpoena, claiming the earlier one was invalid, but the committee chairs agreed to issue new subpoenas as an accommodation.
“If you issue a new proper subpoena, now that there is a duly authorized impeachment inquiry, Mr. Biden will comply for a hearing or deposition,” attorney Abbe Lowell wrote.
