President Joe Biden admitted that the U.S. southern border is not secure, acknowledging the catastrophic surges in illegal immigration due to his policies.

When asked about the impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden responded that he did not believe it was unconstitutional.

He also stated that he has not believed the border was secure for the last 10 years and requested more resources to address the situation.

“What do you say to Republicans who are trying to impeach Mayorkas?” one reporter asked.

“I don’t get it,” Biden said.

“Do you think it’s unconstitutional?” the reporter pressed. “Do you think that the border is secure?”

“No, it’s not,” Biden said. “I haven’t believed that for the last 10 years. And I’ve said it for the last 10 years. Give me the money.”

Biden did not directly answer whether his policies have contributed to the crisis or if his administration would fight Mayorkas’ impeachment in court.
