Alec Baldwin has been indicted for involuntary manslaughter in the fatal Rust shooting, facing up to 18 months in jail if convicted.
Baldwin has maintained his innocence, claiming he didn’t know the prop gun held a live round and that it went off involuntarily.
The decision to revive the case came after prosecutors cited “additional facts” following an investigation.
“We look forward to our day in court,” Baldwin’s attorneys stated.
The armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was previously charged with involuntary manslaughter, and the trial is set to begin soon.
The filming of Rust resumed in Montana last year, with no distributor or release date announced.
