Sanjay Shah, CEO of Vistex, died in a tragic accident at a company celebration in India.

The incident involved a snapped cable, leading to Shah’s fatal fall and the critical injury of Vistex president Raju Datla.

Legal action is being pursued against the event organizers for negligence.

“Suddenly, one of the two wires attached to the cage snapped. Both plunged more than 15 feet and landed on the concrete dais. This caused multiple injuries,” local police stated.

Shah, originally from Mumbai, had a successful career and founded Vistex in 1999, which now operates globally with a substantial client base.

Notably, Shah established the Vistex Foundation to address poverty through education and health services.

“At the time of the accident, music was being played and Shah and Raju were waving to their staff while being lowered,” they added. “A rolling machine was pulling the cage when the strings broke. The compartment collapsed at great speed.”
