New York City Mayor Eric Adams is considering implementing a curfew for illegal aliens residing in state-run housing due to rising crime and safety concerns around migrant shelters.
The proposed curfew would require migrants to be in their rooms from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and violators could face expulsion.
The idea was prompted by complaints from local residents about migrants loitering and begging for food.

“There’s definitely an invasion of immigrants from Floyd Bennett Field in our neighborhood and I see them sitting outside stores … outside the mall and going around to all the houses in the neighborhood, knocking on the door looking for money,” resident David Fitzgerald said.
“I certainly sympathize with their situation, but to have people knocking at your door looking for food that don’t speak English, it’s annoying. I don’t like it. We have never had this before, ever,” he added.
“If it’s good enough for homeless New Yorkers, it’s good enough for migrants,” Queens Councilwoman Joann Ariola said.
Adams is under pressure to address the migrant crisis, with his approval rating at an all-time low, and is seeking a solution to regain support.
