Four Oklahoma State University fraternity members were arrested for placing a longhorn carcass in front of another fraternity, with the incident likely stemming from a prank war.
The dead longhorn was found with markings and tied to a fraternity porch, and investigation revealed that it died of disease before being placed there.
The fraternity suspected of involvement displayed a lack of cooperation during the investigation.
“There was a significant amount of collective lack of cooperation from the Alpha Gamma Rho organization, as it related to the investigation into the incident,” an investigator stated.
The arrested individuals have pleaded not guilty and are awaiting further action, while the university has initiated an internal investigation.
“Oklahoma State expects all students to adhere to university codes of conduct, and appropriate action will be taken based on the outcome of an ongoing internal investigation,” the university stated.
