Country music stars Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan had to make an emergency landing during their flight back from a hunting trip due to equipment issues.

In a live-streamed video, they described the tense situation caused by cold weather affecting the plane’s instruments, leading to the forced landing.

Despite the scare, they rented a car and stopped at a Dairy Queen, relieved to be out of the plane.

“We duck hunted this morning,” Bryan said. “We flew to St. Louis. We landed. We did the ATA Show with Buck Commander.”

“And we were supposed to get back on the plane, fly back, it was gonna be a 30-minute flight,” Aldean cut in. “Easy, easy.”

“Well we took off and it was so cold,” Bryan said. “In St. Louis it’s like, 16 degrees, wind was blowing 40 miles an hour. Some of the instruments on the plane were not (working)…so we had to turn and land. And yeah, it was a little tense.”

“Our plane, we thought, was gonna fall out of the sky,” Aldean said.

“Now we’re on I-55, at a Dairy Queen, we’re getting some chicken fingers, I just peed beside the road, and Jason’s the driver,” Bryan said.

“Because I don’t trust you to drive,” Aldean quipped.

Fortunately, no one was injured, and the problem was not as severe as other recent midflight incidents.
