During “The View,” the cohosts discussed Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent statement about being “scared as heck” of the possibility of former President Donald Trump winning in 2024.
They defended Harris’ remarks, with Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar stating that there is reason to fear Trump’s return to office, while Sunny Hostin expressed concerns about the potential impact.
Sara Haines praised Harris for speaking honestly, and Goldberg emphasized that admitting fear is a brave act.

“There have been great nations that no longer exist because of someone like a Donald Trump,” Sunny Hostin said.
“If it’s as scary as you’re telling everybody it is, you should say it’s scary,” Sara Haines said in support of Harris.
The cohosts aimed to clarify that Harris was not personally scared but worried for the country.
“The thing I want to say about this, there’s nothing wrong with being afraid … There’s nothing shameful about being afraid. I think it is brave to say you’re afraid,” Goldberg said.
Sara Haines thinks it's odd that people were calling Kamala out for saying she's scared.
She praised the VP for giving "straight talk":
