A 90-day sting operation in Florida led to the arrest of 123 individuals, including a grief counselor, a science teacher, a nurse, and a basketball coach, accused of human trafficking-related offenses.
The arrests were made after the men allegedly communicated online to solicit sex with undercover agents posing as minors.
Many of the suspects held positions of trust and authority in their communities.
Sheriff Chad Chronister said, the accused, “knowingly sought to engage in sexual acts with each of them.”

“As if the sexual exploitation is not damaging enough,” continued Chronister.
“Who knows what their true intentions were with the firearms they possessed?” he exclaimed.
Some believed they were engaging with family members of the minors, offering their child to the alleged predators, but were actually speaking with undercover agents.
Several of the accused have been charged with various offenses and have pleaded not guilty.
