The top-ranking Justice Department prosecutor in Washington, D.C., Matthew Graves, has come under scrutiny for his past representation of Qatari-based entities and foreign banks accused of funding terrorism.

His ties to these clients, including Qatar, Al Jazeera, and various Middle Eastern banks, have raised concerns among GOP lawmakers and pro-Israel advocates.

Additionally, Graves faced impeachment articles for his handling of the Capitol riot investigation and was accused of maliciously prosecuting individuals.

His financial disclosures revealed connections to the Biden campaign, his wife’s role at the National Women’s Law Center, and substantial assets.

Republican lawmakers have called for action against Al Jazeera due to its alleged promotion of pro-Hamas messaging.

“Matthew Graves’s ties to the terrorist harboring state of Qatar are disqualifying,” attorney Mike Davis said. “This revelation might explain why there have yet to be any charges against the Hamas supporters who terrorized the White House.”

“It is extremely concerning that a Biden DOJ official is closely connected with entities that have funded terrorism,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn stated.

“We need a full accounting of his foreign dealings, including any work he has done that has supported the barbaric Hamas terrorists,” Blackburn said. “This administration is full of Hamas sympathizers, and they must be rooted out of the federal government.”

“We’ve seen no action taken by the federal government,” Foundation for Defense of Democracies’ Jonathan Schanzer said. “It’s a Department of Justice responsibility.”

Graves’ prior clients, including Qatar Charity and several Middle Eastern banks, have raised questions about his representation of entities connected to terrorism, prompting concerns from various quarters.

“It wasn’t just one or two entities that are connected to terror,” Zachor Legal Institute president Marc Greendorfer said. “That doesn’t happen because of random events. This guy seems to have had a speciality in representing terror-connected entities.”
