Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich hails Donald Trump’s Iowa victory as a triumph for the American people and democracy.
Despite various challenges and attacks, Gingrich asserts that Trump’s success in Iowa solidifies his position as the Republican nominee.
He predicts further victories in New Hampshire and South Carolina, suggesting that the race will effectively be over before Super Tuesday.
Gingrich wrote, “Despite every media attack, political lawsuit, and old guard establishment effort to destroy Trump and force him out of the election.”
“The people of Iowa stood up and said, ‘no,’ he is our candidate,” he continued.
“Trump is the Republican nominee,” he added.
“Everyone who is upset about that needs to get over it,” suggested Gingrich.
“The race will be effectively over before Super Tuesday on March 5,” he explained.
“In my view, it’s over now,” he added.
Gingrich wrote that Trump was “the leader of a nationwide movement of the American people to take power back from the establishment.”
“This is why all the establishment’s attacks aren’t working with Americans,” he continued.
“Every time Trump is attacked in court or in the media, he gets stronger,” noted Gingrich.
“People see a corrupt establishment desperately trying to protect itself – despite the will of the people,” he concluded.
Gingrich emphasizes that Trump represents a movement of the American people against the establishment, and attacks against him only strengthen his support.
He also highlights the rejection of big government and bureaucratic control, attributing Trump’s success to his clear articulation of these sentiments.
Gingrich concludes that Trump’s victory in Iowa will continue to build momentum, emphasizing the significance of his win in a multi-candidate field.
