The Maine Superior Court issued a stay on the decision to remove Donald Trump from the state’s Republican primary ballot, awaiting a related U.S. Supreme Court decision.

The court denied some of Trump’s motions but stayed the secretary of state’s ruling pending the Supreme Court’s decision.

The matter was remanded for further proceedings based on the forthcoming Supreme Court decision.

A similar ruling in Colorado removed Trump from the ballot, and he is expected to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

This case involves the application of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, and similar battles are ongoing in other states.
