Special counsel David Weiss rejected Hunter Biden’s plea to dismiss gun-related criminal charges against him, citing “overwhelming” evidence.
Prosecutors revealed that federal investigators found cocaine on the gun case and obtained incriminating data from Hunter Biden’s iCloud account and laptop.
“The strength of the evidence against him is overwhelming and distinguishable from any other person who was not prosecuted for similar crimes,” prosecutors wrote.

“To be clear, investigators literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant kept his gun,” they wrote.
Hunter Biden’s defense team argued for dismissal on four grounds, including claims of selectivity and vindictiveness, but Weiss disputed all four arguments, deeming them “meritless.”
