Actor and former US politician Arnold Schwarzenegger was detained by German customs officers at Munich Airport for failing to declare a valuable luxury watch.
Criminal tax proceedings were initiated against Schwarzenegger, as he had not declared the watch upon arrival in Munich, although he intended to leave it in the EU.
“If the goods remain in the EU, you have to pay tax and duty on them,” a customs spokesman stated. “That applies to everyone.”
