A recent CBS News/YouGov poll shows top Republican presidential candidates, including Trump, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis, leading President Biden in a hypothetical general election matchup.

The poll indicates that Haley would have the biggest lead over Biden, with 53% to Biden’s 45%. Trump, Haley, and DeSantis are all shown to have leads over Biden in this poll.

Notably, Trump held a significant lead over both Haley and DeSantis in the Iowa caucuses and is expected to secure the party’s presidential nomination.

“Every one of those polls and against Biden, I beat him by double digits, by 17 points,” Haley said.

“That’s bigger than the presidency, the House and the Senate. That’s governorships. That’s all the way down to school boards.”

The poll additionally highlighted that Biden’s support has been affected by the economy, with only 21% of voters believing they would be better off financially with Biden in office.

Other recent polls have also shown Republican candidates beating Biden in hypothetical matchups.
