Democrats are using Trump’s victory in the Iowa caucus to urge party members to donate money for the general election.
With Trump’s win, two candidates dropped out of the Republican primary, leaving Trump, DeSantis, and Haley in the race.
California Gov. Newsom sent a fundraising email expressing concern about Trump’s potential nomination and urged donations to prevent his victory in November. (Trending: Joe Biden’s Approval Crashes To New Low)

“A short while ago, Donald Trump won the Iowa Caucus. He is now one step closer to becoming the Republican nominee and having a chance to return to the White House. Terrifying,” Newsom wrote.
“I want you to think about the way you felt the morning after Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016? Do you remember it?” Newsom pressed.
He added, “Now think about the relief you felt when it was clear Joe Biden won in 2020.”
“We all have a role to play in making sure we are feeling that relief once again,” he wrote. “And a fully-funded Democratic National Committee is essential for victory in 2024.”
This comes as Biden’s approval rating has dropped to 33 percent, with 58 percent disapproving of his job performance, and only 28 percent of independent voters approving.
