Trump’s lawyer sought to delay the trial due to a family event, while Trump labeled the case as “fabricated lies and political shenanigans.”
Carroll asserts Trump’s actions cost her readers and her job.
Trump denies the allegations and previous trial findings, maintaining that he never met Carroll.
“I am the only one injured by this attempted EXTORTION,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Carroll seeks $10 million in compensatory damages and more in punitive damages.
