Josef Fritzl, who imprisoned his daughter for 24 years, fathering seven of her children, may be moved from prison to an elderly care home due to dementia and physical weakness.

He is eligible for parole this year. Fritzl’s daughter was found in 2008 after years of captivity and abuse.

Fritzl was sentenced to life in prison for incest, rape, coercion, and other charges.

He forced his daughter into slave-like conditions and threatened to kill her and their children.

St. Poelten provincial prosecutors’ office wrote in 2009, “He forced Elisabeth into slave-like conditions… shut her away in the cellar and made her totally dependent on him, forcing her into sexual acts and treating her as if she was his own property.”
