Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is urging former President Donald Trump to consider Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) as his running mate for a potential presidential bid.
Gingrich highlighted Stefanik’s appeal and recent actions, emphasizing her potential to attract key voter demographics.
“I’m a very big fan of Elise’s. Certainly, if there is a short list for vice president, she should be on it,” Gingrich said. (Trending: GOP Rep. Mace Clashes Directly With Hunter Biden At Hearing)

“I absolutely believe that she has sort of fought her way onto the national stage and I hope that she will continue to grow and develop and certainly my advice to the president would certainly be to consider her on whatever short list he develops for potential vice presidential nominees,” he added.
Stefanik’s confrontations with university presidents over responses to antisemitism also garnered attention, leading to resignations and further positioning her in the national spotlight.
