A Florida man was arrested for throwing a beer at a speeding vehicle in his neighborhood and then firing his AR-15 rifle.
The man, Eric Proctor, confronted the driver about speeding and later retrieved his rifle to shoot.
Despite denying the allegations, video evidence led to his arrest on felony charges of aggravated assault.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said, “He went to his house, and he comes out with his rifle, and the dude shoots three times.”
“Once in the air and twice on the ground,” he added.
The Sheriff advised people to contact law enforcement instead of taking matters into their own hands.
“If you’re that stirred up, just call us,” advised Judd.
“We’ll deal with it, and you won’t end up in jail charged with a felony,” the sheriff concluded.
