In 2021, firearm production in the United States increased by 28 percent compared to 2020, with a notable 32 percent increase in the production of rifles categorized as “assault rifles.”

This increase occurred during President Biden’s first year in office.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation reported that there are now over 28 million AR/AK-style rifles in circulation in the country, which is a type of firearm that Biden has sought to ban.

This data was collected from reports by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and the Congressional Research Service.
