Two Palestinian terrorists carried out coordinated attacks in Raanana, north of Tel Aviv, resulting in an elderly woman being stabbed to death and 18 others injured.
The attackers, neither of whom had work permits in Israel, had been caught in the country multiple times and had served prison time for illegal entry.
One of the terrorists had a forged identity card. (Trending: Trump Responds To Biden’s Bombing In Yemen)
The elderly woman died at the hospital, and seven children and teenagers were taken to a medical center.
The attackers expressed intentions to become martyrs and initially planned to stab Jews but later decided to run over as many Jews as possible.
“We heard the noise of a crash, like a car bumping into another car,” Eden Arzi said.
“We saw the driver go to stab a woman, and she ran away, and [the driver] went and stabbed a 60-year-old man while there were a bunch of screams in the background, until he fell on the ground.”
“[The suspects] went out together and in parallel, to two different locations, took two cars and launched a series of rammings,” Central District Police Chief Avi Bitton said. “This was a very grave terror attack.”
