Kelly Carlin, daughter of George Carlin, criticized an AI comedy special called “George Carlin: I’m Glad I’m Dead,” stating that the AI version does not capture her father’s originality.

She emphasized that her father’s work is unique and cannot be replicated by a machine, suggesting that people listen to the genuine George Carlin’s 14 specials instead.

George Carlin, a highly influential stand-up comedian, was known for his reflections on various controversial topics and appeared in numerous television and film projects. (Trending: Anthony Fauci Questioned About Evidence Behind COVID Restrictions)

The AI version of Carlin replicates his mannerisms and speech patterns to comment on current issues ranging from Elon Musk to the use of artificial intelligence, the publication noted. Kelly said the AI version doesn’t come close to replicating her famous father’s originality, however.

Kelly Carlin wrote on X, “My dad spent a lifetime perfecting his craft from his very human life, brain and imagination.”

“No machine will ever replace his genius. These AI generated products are clever attempts at trying to recreate a mind that will never exist again. Let’s let the artist’s work speak for itself. Humans are so afraid of the void that we can’t let what has fallen into it stay there,” she continued.

“Here’s an idea, how about we give some actual living human comedians a listen to? But if you want to listen to the genuine George Carlin, he has 14 specials that you can find anywhere,” she concluded.
