The Houthi rebels, backed by Iran, have continued their attacks on international shipping despite warnings from Western leaders.

The attacks in the Red Sea have prompted strong statements from the UK and a coalition of 12 nations, denouncing the escalation.

The Houthis’ recent assault, targeting vessels destined for Europe and the US, has led to concerns about disruptions to global trade. (Trending: Joe Biden Caught In Another Major Lie About J6)

Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron, said, “these attacks need to stop or actions will be taken”.

In a joint statement, the US, Britain, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and New Zealand wrote, “Let our message now be clear: we call for the immediate end of these illegal attacks and release of unlawfully detained vessels and crews.”

The US and its allies have drawn up plans to neutralize the threat, but there is reluctance to approve military action, seen as a sign of weakness by Tehran.

The focus on limiting Israel’s military operations and criticisms of Israeli forces’ actions have raised questions about the effectiveness of the approach in preventing further destabilization in the region.
