A man was removed from a Ron DeSantis event in Iowa after presenting the governor with a participation trophy and calling him “our little snowflake.”

The man asserted that DeSantis is unlikely to win the election and sarcastically praised him for trying.

DeSantis refused the trophy and the man was escorted out. (Trending: Trump Responds To Biden’s Bombing In Yemen)

“Real quick before we get started, thank you Governor DeSantis. I want to present to you this participation trophy,” the man said, noting that DeSantis is “probably not gonna win the election” and saying, “We’re proud of you for trying.”

“I don’t do participation trophies,” DeSantis said.

“He’s special. He’s unique, and he’s our little snowflake,” the man said before being removed.

The incident occurred days before the Iowa caucus, where DeSantis is significantly trailing Donald Trump in the polls, despite his claims of predicted victory.

“Well, we’re going to win the caucus,” DeSantis said in December. “We’re doing everything that we need to do it. We’ll continue to build support.”

“We’re going to win Iowa. I think it’s going to help propel us to the nomination,” he added.
