Comedian Jo Koy faced backlash for his jokes at the Golden Globes, initially blaming writers and then criticizing the star-studded audience for not responding well.
During a comedy tour, he expressed frustration at the audience’s reaction and suggested that they didn’t watch the Golden Globes.
Koy’s ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Handler, also referenced his monologue at another awards show. (Trending: Hunter Biden’s Art Scheme Exposed By GOP Probe)
“Some I wrote, some other people wrote,” said Koy.
“Yo, I got the gig ten days ago! You want a perfect monologue? Shut up! You’re kidding me, right? I wrote some of these, and they’re the ones you’re laughing at,” he continued.
Koy said at a later show, “Lot a marshmallows, man. They’re delicious, but godd—, they’re soft.”
“I just come from a different time. I see the changes that are happening. I get it, but godd—, can we f—— laugh at ourselves?” he added.
Jo Koy alluded to his Golden Globes hosting gig (and the fallout) during his first stand-up set since the awards show.

“I got a feeling none of you m———— watched it, and I’m kinda happy. Oh my God. It feels good to live in this country,” said Koy.
“We get to say what we want to say. Don’t be apologetic about it at all. Be able to…speak your mind,” he added.
Chelsea Handler said, “Unfortunately, Martin Scorsese isn’t here tonight, but that’s not going to stop me from letting everyone in this room know that I would toss him around like a little Italian meatball.”
“Thank you for laughing at that. My writers wrote it,” she joked.
